staff meeting at warehouseTerry Starr called a staff meeting at the beautiful new warehouse where GHHC staff are serving the community centers and Dignity Hygiene Closets. At the end of the meeting we had an early celebration for Andrea Yantone's birthday. Posted on Facebook: Terry Starr: "God’s power team!! So much work to do!" Together we can do God’s work! Comment: Who is the mascot in the foreground? Layla is Tammy's dog and our GHHC mascot. Notice how Lesley got him to look up and smile! Comment: My prayers and love I send to all of you, you are angels at work on this earth. Tammy: "At the new location growing so fast. I love working for God!!! Amazing! So grateful!" Comment: "You all do a fabulous job through our Lord Jesus Christ." When Tammy started God's Hygiene Help Center, she would serve about 20 clients a month from her house. During the month of April we served 460 families including 1 school and 3 Clean Start Baskets. Tammy and Diane have to keep shopping for the most popular items: laundry detergent, Pine Glo cleaning liquid, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing liquid, body wash and trash bags. Thank you that Lesley, our Inventory Coordinator, will start ordering items in bulk used by both the Help Center and the warehouse. Of course, we always appreciate in kind donations of the hygiene items we distribute to clients. Donations may be left in the Exchange Center at either Upper Arlington Lutheran Church at Mill Run or The Church on Lytham Road. For large quantities, please contact us to arrange delivery to either our warehouse or the Oakland Park Help Center. Thank you! clean start baskets for phoenixThank you to Kathryn Farrar who has volunteered to pack Clean Start Baskets. GHHC partners with Phoenix Integrated Services to give them Clean Start Baskets when clients have moved on with their lives. I just want to tell a short story of going to God's Hygiene Help Center. Be known how it has helped me along in my recovery. GHHC has blessed me with clothes, hygiene, and necessities that I'm truly blessed to receive. It's truly amazing how God works in mysterious ways through people, especially God's Hygiene Help Center. I've been truly blessed to have the Center be a part of my recovery. I feel valued, loved, and cared for. Most important I'm able to stay physically clean with the help of the Center, and I feel better about myself and my appearance. I'm truly blessed to have this Center be a part of my life. GHHC has helped me in more ways than I can explain. Stephanie God's Hygiene has made a huge difference in not only my and my children's life, but many other lives around me. It has provided me with necessities that I can't afford on a monthly basis. It's made my self esteem and my self value, as well as self worth increase because I can live my life feeling clean and refreshed daily, due to the shampoo, deodorant, and toothpaste I have received. It's also provided a way for my family to stop the spread of germs and illnesses during the outbreak Covid 19 because it's provided me with sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. God's Hygiene has impacted my familys life because its a place my children and I have grown to depend on, on a monthly basis by giving us hygiene items, free of charge, which in turn has allowed myself and my children the ability to take baths and / or showers and brush our teeth, daily. God's Hygiene is such a blessing to the less fortunate because it provides multiple hygiene resources such as shower hygiene, toilet hygiene, hand hygiene, teeth hygiene, and sickness hygiene. Jodi Kail bottoms upThank you for the partnership with Bottoms Up Diaper Drive so that we can provide needed diapers to our clients. Their mission is "Helping single mothers provide diapers for their children." God's Hygiene Help Center is now well stocked in diapers from newborn size to size 5. Clients will be given a package of 25 diapers instead of only 12. Bottoms Up Diaper Drive was founded in August, 2018 by Tim and Jo Welsh as an outgrowth of their love for one another, their faith, and their desire to help meet the needs of families who can’t afford enough diapers to keep their children clean, dry, and healthy. Since then, Bottoms Up has delivered more than 560,000 diapers to over 70 food pantries and child care facilities in central Ohio for distribution to those in need. Bottoms Up continues to grow with very little promotion and a lot of dedication to principled charity. Diapers are collected through drives at churches, schools, and businesses or purchased through the generosity of others. Tim and Jo are grateful for the opportunity to make even a small difference in the lives of those in need. Thank you Tim and Jo for this wonderful and much needed service to our young parents! 4 Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 Tammy's nephew, Cody Jewell, is going to become a "movie star" for a short term. A company wanted to create a video of a single parent benefitting from Bottoms Up diapers. Cody is a single parent raising his darling little girl. Tammy created a very short video which we then shared with Jo Welsh and the company. So they contacted him to create a longer professionally made video. Good luck filming Cody. We are anxious to see the finished product! pillows and more pillowsThank you to Dale Cory of The Bed Brigade. A local partner to the Bed Brigade donated 3,000 new/laundered pillows to the central ohio community service groups, including the Bed Brigade, God's Hygiene, Joseph’s Coats, HARP, Womens Recovery Center, and The Refuge. A great blessing to all. Dale called Tammy to ask if God's Hygiene could use any pillows. He invited her to come along with him OSU to pick up 300 of his 3,000 pillows! Wow! And they were new pillows. She then donated 150 to Phoenix Integrated Services, 50 to the Medina Recovery program and the last 100 to the GHHC clients. You should have seen the joy on their faces when asked, "Would you like a new pillow?" "Oh yes, I have needed a new pillow. Thank you!" 22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 donato's and GHHCGod's Hygiene Help Center is so grateful to the Donato's on Oakland Park. Several times a month they deliver just baked pizzas to us for our volunteers. GHHC in turn provides hygiene and cleaning items to several of their employees. This month Tammy presented an appreciation certificate to their Donato's manager. 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 welcome to our new volunteer
god's angelsTuesday we were working at GHHC a man asked Tammy, "Have you ever been robbed here?" "No, she replied. Don’t you see the angels all around the building?" The man looked up and said, "Yes I do see them! 40 feet tall! Tammy then replied, "We work for the Lord!" 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Proverbs 3:5 God’s Hygiene Clothes Closet
BLESSING BOX KEEPS BLESSING OTHERSTammy shared with us, "My neighbor has received many people who are thanking her for the food. The Blessing Box is truly a blessing. She tells them thank the lady next door and thank Jesus.
She has received many notes and knocks on her door just saying thank you this is sent from God. People in the community need it so desperately. So many grandmothers are falling into my arms crying out for help thanking the Lord for this Blessing Box, the hygiene and the resources plus all important, the prayers."
