how god's hygiene makes a differenceGod’s Hygiene Help Center is the original and the only help center which provides personal service to individuals. Clients receive a choice of six (6) hygiene and cleaning items per month, along with being offered personal prayer, a Bible, Our Daily Bread and other community resources. GHHC has returned to our core values of sharing the love of Christ with our clients and each other. In 2020 GHHC opened a dedicated, stand-alone building in the Linden community where our all volunteer staff serves 500+ individual clients a month. We shop for the best prices on products to be good stewards of the funds donated to our nonprofit. We appreciate the continued prayers and support of our donors. To make a donation, please click on Support Us We also appreciate these recent comments from some of our donors: "Thanks For All That You Do! VOLUNTEERS - Keep Doing What You Do, AND GOD WILL DO THE REST!" "Absolutely wonderful organization that helps sooo00o many in need!" 10 For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]. 2 Corinthians 5:17 prayer gatheringThe monthly Prayer Gathering is for anyone who wants to know about the God who loves us and gave His life for us. He is the God who wants to give use a life that is truly amazing. We held a wonderful Prayer Gathering the first Wednesday in April at Cremeans Park at North Broadway and Maize Road. Trina T.J. Oates Unity gave an inspiring message on John 3:16. Attendees were given a journal and pen and offered a Bible. They ate pizza (thank you to our Oakland Park Donato's), Chick-Fil A sandwiches, chips, and Cheryl's Cookies. GHHC volunteers are now planning our next monthly gathering. Hope you can join us at our next gathering (see flyer below). Praise God! God's Word touched one young lady's heart. She received the Lord's forgiveness and invited Jesus into her heart. That day she was born into the family of God, forgiven of her sins and starting her brand new journey with Jesus. Before she was crying with anxiety and depression shown on her face. She was crying looking to God for hope She took God into her heart. She came forward, and Trina prayed for her. We other volunteers surrounded her with love. That's the whole reason we want to keep reaching out to our community. On April 25 Amanda came to the Help Center to say hello to the volunteers, get a bag of hygiene and of course get a hug from Tammy. 9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. 1 John 1:9 partnership with buckeye healthAt our Middle School service project day in February, one of the parents who worked with Buckeye Health attended since her son wanted to participate. She was so impressed when Tammy shared part of her story and the need for hygiene and dignity. She then talked with Tammy and then Kathryn to learn more about our mission to share hope as well as the love of Jesus. This month God's Hygiene was really blessed when their delivery truck arrived with much needed items: pocket tissues, retractable phone chargers, in kind donationsThank you to the women at Worthington United Methodist Church. We received beautiful hand knit hats, 1 sitting mat, 2 bags with pockets. They also sent toothpaste, deodorant, cleaner and wipes. We so appreciate their thoughtfulness. What a blessing! As you know God is great all the time. In the first quarter of 2022 we received in kind donations totaling nearly $5,000. Then our mouth was filled with laughter And our tongue with joyful shouting; Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” Psalm 126:2 Kayla Dooley emailed GHHC early this month: "My MOPS group at New Hope Church in Powell would love to collect products to donate this month. I wanted to reach out and find out what you are in most need of right now?" We were delighted to respond with the most requested items of laundry detergent, bleach, dishwashing liquid, paper towels and toilet paper. We are also short on toothbrushes and toothpaste and asking area dentists if they can make in kind donations. Please email us at communications@godshygiene.org if your organization or church would like to organize a donation drive. clean start baskets![]() Congratulations to Jamie Bellamy who graduated from Phoenix Integrated Services. Jamie worked through their program for 20 months and now has her own apartment. Jamie now works for Clean Turn, a commercial second change company. She said, "God's Hygiene has helped me a lot when I did not have the money to buy hygiene and cleaning products. I feels so grateful and happy. Thank you God's Hygiene for the Clean Start Basket." Hello this is Jamie you guys made me a basket with a blanket and towel and some cleaning stuff for this apartment i just got after being in the phoenix rehab for almost 2 years. Well I wanted to thank you for that and also I wanted to know if you guys help with furniture at all? i mainly just need a small couch or love seat or oversized chair given that my apartment is a studio and someone told me you might be able to help with that. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11 ![]() In July Joanna became homelesss due to issues with her roommates. Joanna had just paid off her car when it blew up on 270 in Gahanna. Then she had to take the bus everywhere. While doing her laundry at Dirty Dungarees at Hudson and High, some women told her about an apartment available with rent which was affordable. Joanna called and got the apartment on April 20. Joanna became friends with our volunteer Mike Harmon who told her, "Come to God's Hygiene Help Center and they'll help you." Mike introduced Tammy to Joanna. She asked to see her apartment. It was clean but all she had was a crockpot! Tammy told her to come to our Help Center on Tuesday and we will help her. Joanna cried and exclaimed, "Awesome!" Volunteers packed her a small Clean Start Basket which include basic hygiene and cleaning products plus some inkind donations of a mattress protector, blanket, set of dishes, and more. Tammy saw a curb find of a Lazy Boy recliner on Karl Road. Joanna now has something to sleep in. ![]() I received my clean start basket today and I'm so grateful to God's Hygiene. With their help I'm able to take care of my personal stuff and it definitely has been a blessing. I was an addict for over 30+ years. On March 21, 2022 I decided I was done and put myself into a program called Phoenix. Here I am 400 days later happy, sober, and I have a job. Now after being homeless for the past 8 years. I got my own apartment. I'm starting from scratch with nothing and so today I received the biggest blessing from Miss Tammy and God's hygiene. I'm being given a whole living room outfit and more. I will repay that with a strong healthy sober way of life and always always praise God. Thanks to everyone at God's Hygiene. You all are truly the best! And what an amazing place where we're treated with respect and dignity. Thanks again for everything! Dawn Sutton new volunteer![]() In March God's Hygiene was happy to welcome Amber Bennett as a volunteer. She has joined Brenda A. for shopping and keeping track of inventory. Brenda says, "Amber has been a great addition to GHHC volunteer team. Her heart is full of joy and her unwavering faith and commitment to serve those in need is reassuring." Amber wrote us about her experience: "I feel so blessed to be a volunteer at GHHC. I had been praying for a place exactly like this. I found our about GHHC from a good friend of mine who just happened to be great friends with Tammy. Thankfully the connection was made. Jesus delivered me from many years of opioid addiction and it means alot to me to be able to serve his purpose and for his glory!. I am very blessed to have met all of the wonderful volunteers at GHHC. All of them so kind and committed to serving Jesus. On Easter Sunday I got baptized." 10 For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].
