from HOMELESS TO an APARTMENTGHHC encountered Marilyn V. who was homeless for five months before getting her apartment. She was referred to us by a friend. We were able to assist her with her hygiene needs. As we prayed with her, we became aware of her need for a bed. GHHC reached out to Immaculate Conception Church and St. Vincent de Paul, who were able to purchase and set up her new bed. They also prayed with her for continued blessings. Marilyn has a heart of gratitude and thankful for our small part in recent blessings. She is so appreciative that she plans to make a small donation to GHHC. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12 client thanks ghhcShaun had finally moved out of the homeless shelter. He was in need of basic hygiene and prayed for it. Then he found out about God's Hygiene and took 3 buses to get to our Help Center for his first time visit. Our greeter commented how friendly and polite he was. He said, "I really appreciate what you are doing here very much. God bless you!" Tammy went over to talk with him and found out he was getting his first apartment. So she went upstairs and looked for any inkind donations that could assist him. Shaun was very happy to not only receive his choice of 6 hygiene items but a comfort set for his bed. Thank you to our donors for your continued prayers and support so we can pass on the blessings to our clients. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 clean start basketsTwo volunteers from the Embark program picked up 2 Clean Start Baskets on April 25, 2024. They said, "The men who will receive these baskets are so appreciative. They have nothing and really need and can use all the hygiene, towels, and cleaning supplies you give them. Thank you so much for providing this program for those released from incarceration." Sue Zerman and her husband have been working with a man at Faith Mission for 3 years. Today he finally left the mission and was blessed with a bucket full of hygiene. Kathryn Farrar built him a Clean Start Basket from in kind donations. This ongoing project is a team effort. One volunteer faithfully shops for towel sets all year and donates them. Various people have donated large sizes of hygiene and other miscellaneous household items. Thank you for your continued support. power of prayerDelores is a regular client of God's Hygiene. She came to get hygiene and shared with Tammy she was scared for her upcoming surgery. Tammy prayed with her 3 times. Delores was in a coma for a month afterwards. She had been in the hospital for 2 1/2 months with colon blockage. They had made a mistake with her surgery. When she came to God's Hygiene Help Center, with her colostomy attached to her, Tammy prayed with her. Praise God! The damage got reversed and had her bag removed. Delores said thank you so much. Tammy replied, "You're welcome! It's really all Jesus!" Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 senior resources talkGod's Hygiene Help Center was invited to be one of 12 tables at a Resources Fair for Seniors held at Christian Valley Baptist Church. Since Tammy is known as Miss Resource Queen, she gave a talk sharing information about GHHC as well as where to get help with rent, utilities, food and more. Posted on the church's Facebook page: God did it!!! CV’s 1st Seniors Health and Resource Fair was absolutely amazing. Thank you to Dr. Jimmy, Sis. Octavia and Sis. Jackie for allowing God to use you to bring this vision to pass. There were health screenings, exercise class, assisted living information and so much more available. Our members and the community received a blessing today with this blessed event. the power of prayerIt is such a blessing to be involved with God‘s Hygiene Help Center. We see hearts and minds opening to God‘s word, joyfulness, and gratitude all the time. There is so much need in the area. Just last week a woman came through for products, but as she spoke with a quivering voice, it was clear her need was for prayer and comfort. As Tammy spoke with her, we learned her young son had just been murdered days earlier. Tammy prayed with her that the Lord make his presence and comfort known to her over these difficult days, and that He would walk with her along the new and difficult path that she was traveling. She was so grateful! We told her she was welcome to return anytime for prayer, Christian fellowship and that we would be praying for her. (Galatians 6:2, Carry each other’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ). This is the ministry of GHHC, to be supportive and available for the local community with the open arms and love of Christ, hygiene being our access point. We thank you because it is due to your generosity and prayer that this ministry is possible. (Hebrews 13:16 And do not forget to do good and share with others for with such sacrifices God is pleased.) Please continue praying that God will use GHHC for His Glory.
