THE CHURCH ON OAKLAND PARK APRIL 29, 2020
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
GHHC HELPS H.A.R.P.
Becky Armstrong sent out the following letter this week:
It is so encouraging to me that during these challenging times, the missions that we support continue to do ministry, even as their budgets have suffered and they have had to be creative. It was so uplifting to hear Pastor Dave interview many of our core missions this week on Facebook Live at 9:00 pm. Included was a great interview with Mary Bates, Director of HARP. (Monday April 27) It is worth seeing, if you haven't already....and also want to include God's Hygiene interview with Terry Starr...wonderful job, Terry!! (Tuesday, April 28)
Mary indicated that the HARP warehouse is closed, but they continue to do ministry. She spends time each day on the phone with clients. She sets up appointments where clients can pick up needed things, and will share scripture and pray with people on a daily basis.
Mary suggested to me one way we can support the many folks in need in SE Ohio. A local Caldwell church is collecting diapers, and Mary would like to support their efforts.
I really like the idea of doing something tangible...and love that HARP is supporting efforts of a local church. Blessings, Becky
God's Hygiene's heart knew we had to share with our mission partner. We delivered over 400 diapers sizes 3 and 4 plus 54 packages of Baby Wipes on May 4. #wherelovewins
project STORAGE UNIT
Terry Starr signed a rental agreement for a storage unit located about 5 minutes from Tammy's home and main Help Center. Tammy is thrilled to be able to get some stock out of her home. We now have a working database program to keep track of stock and clients. Thank you that Lesley Tate has offered to be our Inventory Coordinator. GHHC was blessed that shelves were donated from several different people. We plan to be using the storage unit for a few months until we can move into a larger warehouse.
