Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! 1 Chronicles 16:34 school hygiene donation driveThe Central Ohio area has numerous school backpack giveaways, but nothing for basic hygiene needs for our students. God's Hygiene has organized a backpack giveaway for 9 years in a row. There are so many school backpack giveaways (Ch. 4 and Volunteers of America plus community centers). So we are hoping to meet very essential needs of students for hygiene and dignity. In 2023 God's Hygiene Help Center is organizing a SCHOOL HYGIENE BOXES DONATION DRIVE to help encourage students to attend school. Hygiene for students changes lives for juvenile truancy, school attendance and improving grades, decreasing bullying, increasing a child’s sense of dignity and pride and so, so much more! GHHC is sponsoring BECAUSE SCHOOL WITH HYGIENE MATTERS and will not be having a backpack giveaway in 2023. WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are collecting basic hygiene supplies to put into area schools. The list of the supplies we are collecting are on the flyer below. You may buy the supplies and deliver to us. Or please join Amazon and select Gods Hygiene Help Center as your nonprofit of choice. (Notice no apostrophe) Find the Wish List for SCHOOL HYGIENE BOXES 2023 --you can order easily on line and hygiene items will be delivered directly to us. The School Hygiene Boxes 2023 event is one focus project of God’s Hygiene Help Center whose mission is “providing dignity and hope through hygiene to those in need with the compassion of Jesus.” We offer Christian literature, pastoral care and prayer to all people who come to our event. We care about our neighbors and want them to know that someone cares. Won’t you join us in helping our neighbors feel loved and our students stay in school? Of course, we are also collecting monetary donations. $10 can provide hygiene for one student in a school in need. $250 could provide hygiene for an entire School Hygiene Box. Thank you for your donation of supplies, money and your heart to help. Let us know if you would like to place a donation box in your church or business. Your donations will truly make a difference. Please donate online at godshygiene.org or you may mail your donation to GOD’S HYGIENE HELP CENTER 1402 OAKLAND PARK AVENUE COLUMBUS OH 43224 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 baptism at god's hygieneMy name is Trina Oates, a long time friend of Tammy's. I am a messenger of God's love and grace found through and in Jesus Christ. I have been privileged to partner with God's Hygiene Help Center where every first Tuesday of the month I share God's word of hope accompanied with prayer. There is also available baptism for those who would like to experience God's salvation at another at little further. I was honored to have baptized our first candidate. So please feel free to join us and build your relationship with God. You won't regret it. Our clients enjoyed Trina's free clothing giveaway held before the Prayer Gathering. Then the next week it was exciting to witness the baptism of Amy. She now serves as one of our volunteers at GHHC. blessing bags for women![]() Thank you to Brynn and Avery for packing 60 Blessing Bags for two different events. Thirty cosmetic bags with hygiene are going to be delivered for women attending Sanctuary Night. Heather graduated after one year in the program at Phoenix plus reached one year of sobriety. For 25 years she had suffered from addiction to drugs and alcohol. Since she was not able to work, she thanks God for the help she received from God's Hygiene Help Center. GHHC provided her with laundry detergent and shampoo which gave her independence. Heather obtained a job at Lowe's on Silver Drive and has already earned a promotion. She has adult children who live in Arizona and that relationship has been rebuilt. She is now a proud grandmother and has become a Christian. Congratulations Heather! Brenda McKinney is the sister of Anna Marie who is friends with both Tammy and Amber. Brenda started smoking pot at age 12 and was introduced to crack when she was 25 years old. She had been homeless for 17 months. She completed treatment at the Lighthouse for 5 months and has been sober for 14 months. She is disabled and had been on a waiting list to get an apartment for one year. Brenda thanks God for "Rabbit" (Tammy's nickname) zinc GHHC because she is starting all over again. We are glad we have wonderful donors so we are able to help these women get a clean start on life! In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ Acts 20:35 new volunteer![]() Dana Curry began volunteering at God's Hygiene one day this past month when we were short on greeters. We contacted the counseling supervisor at Medina Sober Living Program. "Yesterday Dana Curry helped volunteer when we were really busy with clients in cars, He was planning to volunteer again on Thursday. Is he trustworthy and reliable?" Donna Chapman responded, "More than you can imagine. One of our role models on the property! "That's awesome! I know he just pitched in and then stayed for prayer gathering and did anything asked." "Yes, he is most respected person on the campus. You should snatch him up, he is a keeper!" Here is what Dana shared about himself: Well I can't use excuses or my upbringing which was indescribable. My Doc is alcohol or was. I have 18 months sober. God's Hygiene helps people in this program and the rest of the clients that come. I'm on disability because of my feet and ankles. But I'd like to give back what i can for as long as I can. My daughter overdosed in 2020, then my fiancé and my brother within 10 months. I still struggle keeping busy. Helps me to think of something else. If you would, you can keep this number for help. 380 241 9671 Thank you. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 12:1 ESV We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds. Psalm 75:1 ESV
