happy thanksgiving!![]() We at God's Hygiene Help Center are grateful for your regular support. Would you check if your employer will match your donation on Giving Tuesday? You can donate online to our same website or you may mail a check payable to and send to: God's Hygiene Help Center 1402 Oakland Park Avenue Columbus OH 43224 Our Oakland Park Help Center has also been busy giving! During November we have been giving Project Warm items of hats, gloves, scarves, socks and underwear (along with our usual hygiene)! Students and adults appreciate these items so much especially since winter has arrived! 11 You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity, which will produce thanksgiving to God through us. 12 For the tendering of this ministry not only supplies the needs of the saints but also overflows with many thanksgivings to God. 2 Corinthians 9:11-12 GOD'S HYGIENE CONTINUES TO GROWGod's Hygiene Help Center has kept the same mission since 2017 when God told Tammy to open up a Help Center: to provide hope and dignity through hygiene to those in need with the compassion of Jesus. Tammy started her help center in her home. Now we serve our clients at our Oakland Park Help Center. We have a dedicated team of all volunteers which are called the Linden Angels. All of your donations provide hygiene and cleaning supplies, plus the rent and some other administrative expenses. GHHC has been growing rapidly and we want to continue growing by accepting more case managers, more schools needing help and additional mental health and recovery programs. Our partners include Project DASH (delivery for nonprofits with DoorDash), Bottoms Up (free diapers and wipes), Period Pantry (free feminine hygiene), Columbus Police, North Central Mental Health, Integrated Services for Behavioral Health, Primary One Health, North Community Counseling, City of Columbus Health, Huckleberry House, and Homefull. We have contacted R. White Consultancy for grant and funding assistance. How will the name of Jesus be made known through God’s Hygiene Help Center? With each packed bag of hygiene, we place a current copy of Our Daily Bread, along with a scripture bookmark, and our operating hours with scripture. Clients are regularly asked if they would like a Bible in a choice of large print or a pocket Bible. Clients are also invited to take any of our Christian books as many as they like (these are in kind donations from you). We regularly ask our clients of their needs or if they need prayer. Then we provide them with resource sheets where to get help. Tammy often shares with us things which Jesus and God says to her. Lately, Jesus has been telling her, "Tammy, keep smiling. You have plenty to smile about. Don't worry. I will be with you." May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING FAITH AND HOPE![]() Tammy writes so many thank you notes each month to our wonderful donors. It is a real blessing when she receives a thank you note: Tammy, We're grateful and thankful for all that you do to share God's love with your neighbors. You are such a wonderful example to all of UALC and beyond. God's blessings. Bruce and Marty Ms. Tammy, You are such a blessing to this community. I want to say thank you for all yo do. With rising prices and all the bad in the world, you bring a light into the darkness of this world. Without God's Hygiene, I would be lost. What you provide to me is hope that a better tomorrow is coming. For a person like me, that means the world to me. Thank you for all you do. There comes a time in life when you have to lean on someone or something for faith. When your need for something becomes real pain. God's Hygiene provides faith and love to a struggling community from things to wash with to hats and gloves to ward off the cold. Without God's Hygiene, a lot of folks would be lost. We would do without. But because of Tammy and her team, we don't have to. The folks over there provide the community the hope we need to get through our day. I want to say thank you to each and everyone of them. Thank you. Heather Carnahan, Client at Phoenix Health I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. Psalm 9:1 trunk or treat at lytham roadEphesians 3:18-21 (NLT) ~ And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. project warm and school dignity![]() Thank you so much to our fantastic volunteer Peggy Wolf and the Saturday morning W.O.W. Bible Study women who have donated hats, gloves, underwear, socks and more for Project Warm. This month we packed 4 School Dignity Boxes with hygiene and the most requested items--underpants and socks. We also were able to give them some kids' gloves and hats. The men's T-shirts will be placed in a Clean Start Basket for an Embark man previously incarcerated. As soon as the cold weather began, we started giving out these items Our Oakland Park Help Center will be accepting items for Project Warm all winter. Thank you to Kim Starr's friend, Patty Bednar. She was delighted to create hats in hopes of keeping lots of people warm this winter. Thank you so much Patty! They are beautiful! 10 For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. 11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. Philippians 4:6, 8 project dash has been delivering for ghhc![]() Isabelle Hanson, a reporter for ABC6 ON YOUR SIDE contacted us about doing a story on God's Hygiene having hygiene delivered by Project Dash. Our Communications Coordinator Diane shared how grateful the schools are to have free delivery since no staff are available during the school day to pick up a needed School Dignity Box. Isabelle plans to interview the school nurse at Linden McKinley after the Thanksgiving break. GHHC has now taken orders for 18 different clients and the number keeps increasing every week. People are calling and emailing how can they get their hygiene delivered. This is just another reason we are so grateful. outreach to the homeless![]() Steve and Mindy Herrada of Not By Bread Alone Street Ministries reached out to God's Hygiene Help Center Facebook. They do an outreach to the homeless in the Sullivant Avenue area. So Diane Hendrickson and Lisa Ryan got busy starting to pack items--Blessing Bags, 2 boxes of small toothpaste, toothbrushes, box of latex gloves, notebooks and pens, small soaps, loofas, disinfecting wipes and feminine hygiene. All these items were in kind donations that we just shared with another nonprofit in need. What an amazing and how good our God is! We asked each other, "How much feminine hygiene should we give to them? We want enough for our clients." Then a neighbor drove in with a donation of large packages of pads and liners! God will always keep providing! After our Oakland Park Help Center closed for the day, Diane delivered the items to Mindy at her workplace on Indianola. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 1:3 new volunteer![]() Thomas Woods comes to us from Medina Recovery on the recommendation of Donna Chapman, Clinical Supervisor. He will help greet clients and move heavy stock on Tuesdays. Thomas is a long time member of St. James Baptist Church at Medina and Hudson. Thomas is a graduate of Linden McKinley High School so he wants to give back to his community. He is also proud to be 5 months clean and sober as well as studying to be a peer support counselor. From his passion for Christ shared in our volunteers' daily time of prayer before serving our clients, we think he can also serve as a prayer warrior with our clients. Read what he sent in our group text to our Linden Angels: Good morning. A right relationship with God is essential to finding fulfillment in your life. When you stop comparing your insides with others outsides you can build self-worth. True happiness comes from within when you build a personal, intimate relationship with God. God bless! In accepting ourselves, we become ourselves. We use our spiritual strength to reach our human potential. God gives us the insight to realize that we are not in control. God will find ways to influence our life and elevate us to the next level. God bless. Welcome Thomas as our newest Linden Angel! Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
